Planners to meet Monday The Hoschton Planning Commission will meet on Monday, June 20, at 7 p.m., at city hall to hear several planning matters. Balata Development Corporation is seeking annexation and rezoning of 69.338 acres located at E.G. Barnett Road and Maddox Road from R-3 to R-4 for a 186-lot single-family subdivision. Ida B. Cook, owner, and Blueridge Development, developer, are seeking annexation and rezoning of 42.31 acres located on Maddox Road from A-2 to R-4 for constructing 124 single-family residential homes. John Lee Adams Jr. is requesting a conditional use permit for the purpose of operating a foreign auto repair facility at 101 Pearl Industrial Avenue. The following sections of the Hoschton Zoning Ordinances have proposed amendments to be made to them: Sections 5.7.3, 7.1.2.2, 7.5.1.1, 7.8.2, Article VIII, 9.3.2.1 and 9.6.5. A land-use map amendment will be heard for Peachtree Road and Highway 53. The Hoschton City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposals on Thursday, July 7 and Monday, July 11, both at 7 p.m., at city hall. |
