By virtue of a Power of Sale contained in that certain Security Deed from CHAD D. BELZER to MORTGAGE ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEMS, INC. as nominee for HOMESTAR FINANCIAL CORPORATION, “S” CORPORATION, dated September 30, 2005, recorded October 7, 2005, in Deed Book 40-X, Page 474-483, Jackson County, Georgia Records, said Security Deed having been given to secure a Note of even date in the original principal amount of One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars ($136,868.00), with interest thereon as provided for therein, said Security Deed having been last sold, assigned and transferred to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., there will be sold at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the Courthouse door of Jackson County, Georgia, within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in May, 2008, all property described in said Security Deed including but not limited to the following described property:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 245th G.M.D. of Jackson County, Georgia, being Lot 10, Morgan’s Creek, as per plat recorded in Plat Book 57, Page 272, Jackson County, Georgia Records, which plat is incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this description.
Said property is commonly known as 201 Hamilton Drive, Jefferson, Georgia 30549.
The indebtedness secured by said Security Deed has been and is hereby declared due because of default under the terms of said Security Deed and Note, including but not limited to the nonpayment of the indebtedness as and when due. The indebtedness remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same, all expenses of the sale, including attorneys’ fees and all other payments provided for under the terms of the Security Deed and Note.
Said property will be sold subject to the following items which may affect the title to said property: all zoning ordinances; matters which would be disclosed by an accurate survey or by an inspection of the property; any outstanding taxes, including but not limited to ad valorem taxes, which constitute liens upon said property; special assessments; all outstanding bills for public utilities which constitute liens upon said property; all restrictive covenants, easements, rights-of-way and any other matters of record superior to said Security Deed. To the best of the knowledge and belief of the undersigned, the party in possession of the property is Chad D. Belzer or tenant(s).
The sale will be conducted subject (1) to confirmation that the sale is not prohibited under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and (2) to final confirmation and audit of the status of the loan with the holder of the Security Deed. The above law firm is acting as a debt collector. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

Bid Control Number: 8102-01
The Jackson County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified heavy equipment retail establishments to provide heavy equipment to the Board of Commissioners in Fiscal Year 2008. Jackson County will evaluate each bid for responsiveness to the specifications and conditions outlined in the RFP.
Bids must be returned in a sealed package marked on the outside with the Bid Control Number 8102-01 and the Company Name. Bids will be received until April 11, 2008 at 3:00 pm, local time prevailing, at the Jackson County Purchasing Office, 67 Athens Street, Jefferson, GA, 30549. Any bid received after this date and time will not be accepted. Bids will not be publicly opened and read aloud at this time because of the complexity of this bid and the different pieces of equipment being considered. The award of the bid will be made after all bids have been evaluated according to the RFP.
Bid packages may be obtained from Len Bernat, Purchasing Manager, 67 Athens Street, Jefferson, GA 30549 or from the Jackson County Web Page at www.jacksoncountygov.com. The Jackson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and/or reject all bids in whole or in part if Jackson County determines that cancellation and/or rejection are advantageous to the County. It is the responsibility of each bidder to obtain any addenda issued by Jackson County prior to submitting a bid. The written bid documents supersede any verbal or written prior communications between the parties.
