Honoring the Ultimate Sacrifice Jack Balthazar, Commerce High School and Commerce Middle School band director, plays "Taps" as a hearse carrying the body of Shaun Whitehead travels from Commerce to Jefferson Friday morning, as Commerce Middle School students line Hwy. 15 to show their respect and thanks
for the sacrifice of the former CHS student. Flags in Commerce, including those at the middle school, flew at half mast.
The body of U.S. Army Sgt. Shaun Whitehead arrived in downtown Commerce at 10:45 Friday morning, escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders. A large crowd, many with American flags, lined the street in support. Click Here for video of the hearse as it passes through downtown Jefferson.
