Memorial Day events ahead
Salute at BCHS
A Memorial Day salute to the Armed Forces program and concert will be presented in the Banks County High School auditorium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.
Northwinds Adult Community Band of Gainesville will present a tribute to all veterans.
There will also be pictures from the wars and from local veterans.
Homer Park
A Memorial Day program will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 26, at Veterans Memorial Park in Homer. Lauren McDonald will be the guest speaker. Those who attend are asked to bring a lawn chair.
Maysville Park
The City of Maysville will have a Memorial Day celebration at 11 a.m. Monday at Veterans’ City Park in the downtown area.
