A rezoning request for a retail development in Jefferson was recommended for approval last week by the Quad Cities Planning Commission.
The QCPC recommended that the request from Pinnacle Development Group to rezone 0.810 acres at 4630 Hwy. 129 North from A-2 to C-2 be approved. The Jefferson City Council will consider the request when it meets at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 9, at city hall. The city must take final action on the request before the project can proceed.
The developers plan to include the property with an adjacent 24 acres where a shopping center is planned.
In other business at the brief meeting, the QCPC approved a request from Gerene Cole to rezone 0.23 acres at 891 Lee Street from C-2 to R-2 for residential use.
