Sea Dragons preparing for opening meet

The Jefferson Sea Dragons are prepared to start their 2008 season.
On Tuesday, the Sea Dragons held a mock meet at the Jefferson City Pool to prepare for the first actual meet on Thursday.
The first meet will be hosted in Jefferson and is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. against Winder.
Jefferson’s Sea Dragons swim team formed in 2006 and competes in the North Georgia Swim League and in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association. Last year the team finished 12 out 27 at state.
This year, the team has a new head coach, Matthew Grant. Grant is a University of Georgia swim team graduate assistant. Also, a new website was launched for the team as well as a parent advisory board.
