that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the
Location and Design of the above project.
This project consists of the widening and reconstruction of S.R.
15/U.S. 441 from S.R. 335 in Nicholson, Georgia, to S.R. 334
in Commerce, Georgia, Jackson County. The project lies within
Jackson County and within GMD's 253 and 255.
Date of Location and Design Approval: 23 - March - 2000
This project consists of the widening and reconstruction of This
project will provide two lanes in each direction separated by
a 20-ft. raised median with curb and gutter from the beginning
of the project to CR 67/Berea Road and by a 44-ft. depressed
grass median with 2-ft. inside pave shoulder and 10-ft. outside
shoulder (6-ft. pave) from CR 67/Berea Road to the end of the
project.

Trench Drain at Dados Carwash for the Town of Braselton
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Braselton, Georgia,
for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any
other miscellaneous items necessary for the construction of a
trench drain at Dados Carwash in Braselton, Georgia.
Bids will be received at Town Hall, 4982 Highway 53, Braselton,
Georgia, until 3:30 p.m. on May 5, 2000. Any bid received after
said time and date of bid opening will not be considered by Owner.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and
location. All bids will be evaluated by Owner and the project
will be awarded, if it is awarded, within 45 days of the bid
opening.
The Project consists of, but is not limited to the following
major elements:
Construction of a trench drain structure following Specifications
and Details; Installation of trench drain framing and grating,
with all related supports (labor only); Installation of storm
drain piping from new trench drain to existing open storm drain
area; Cleaning existing storm drainage ditch.
Time of completion for all work associated with this project
shall be Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days from the date
of a written "Notice to Proceed" from Owner.
Copies of Contract Documents, Specifications and Construction
Drawings may be obtained at the Braselton Town Hall, 4982 Highway
53, Braselton, GA 30517, upon payment of a non-refundable cost
of $25. Checks shall be made payable to Town of Braselton.

Owner requires a bid bond* or a certified cashier's check in
the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid to be enclosed

Insurance, Workman's Compensation Insurance and Performance and
Payment Bonds* in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of
the total bid.
Each bid must be submitted in a Sealed Envelope, addressed to
the Owner. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly
marked on the outside as, "Bid for Trench Drain at Dados
Carwash for the Town of Braselton" and be labeled with the
Bidder's State of Georgia Utility Contractor License Number.
If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the
Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention
of the Owner at the address previously given.
All Bids must be made out on the bid form of the type bound in
the Contract Documents, in accordance with the instructions in
the Information for Bidders. No interlineation, additions or
deletions shall be made in the proposal form by the Bidder.
Any and all Bids received without the aforementioned qualification
criteria enclosed, will be returned to the Bidder.
Contractors and subcontractors biddng on this Project will be
required to comply with all Federal, State and local laws and
regulations.
Owner reserves the rights to waive any informalities or to reject
any or all Bids, to evaluate Bids and to accept any Bid which
in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. No Bid
will be rejected without just cause.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within the time limit specified
in the Instruction to Bidders (Section 00100).

Notice of application for a modification of a land application
system permit to discharge treated wastewater onto a land application
system and then into waters of the State of Georgia.
Having reviewed the application which has been submitted, the
Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is considering
the modification of a land application system permit for the
following applicant, subject to specific pollutant limitations
and special conditions:
Town of Braselton, Post Office Box 306, Braselton, Georgia, LAS
Permit No. GA02-175, for its land application system site located
on Josh Pirkle Road in Braselton, 0.27 MGD of treated wastewater
is being land applied to a site in Jackson County in the Oconee
River Basin. The permit is being modified to increase in the
current monthly average flow from 0.105 MGD to 0.27 MGD and to
allow for a future capacity increase to 0.34 MGD and an increase
in the area of the land application site from 37.7 to 46.82 acres.
Persons wishing to comment on the proposed permit are invited
to submit their comments in writing to the EPD address below,
within 30 days of this notice. All comments received before or
on that date will be considered in the formulation of final determinations
for this permit. "Town of Braselton Land Application System,
Jackson County" should be placed at the top of the first
page of comments. A public hearing may be held if the EPD Director
finds a significant degree of public interest in the proposed
permit. Additional information regarding public hearing procedures
is available by writing the EPD.
