Public Notice
The Mayor and City Council of Nicholson, Georgia will hold a
Public Hearing to consider adoption of a Zoning Ordinance Text
and Map for the City of Nicholson. The Ordinance will establish
districts and it sets standards and permissible land uses and
development within each district; area, yard, and height requirements;
parking standards; signs; and other related development standards.
The ordinance establishes the methods of administration, amendment,
permits, enforcement, and a process for appeals. The Zoning Map
shows the zoning districts and will be adopted along with the
zoning text.
The Mayor and City Council will hold the Public Hearing on Thursday,
September 14, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harold S. Swindle Library
at 5466 U.S. Hwy. 441, Nicholson, Georgia. Anyone interested
is invited to attend and express opinions for or against the
proposed Ordinance.
Copies of the proposed text and map are available for review

Gas Supply Plan-Purchased Gas Adjustment, has been received by
the Georgia Public Service Commission.
This matter has been assigned Docket No. 12498-U and has been
scheduled for public hearing before the Commission at 10:00 a.m.
on Wednesday, September 6, 2000. This hearing will be held in

Destruction of Records
of Disabled Students
The Rutland Psychoeducational Center, Department of Special Education,
announces its intention to destroy specific data. Records will
be destroyed that were collected, maintained or used in provision
of a free appropriate public education for disabled students
in Jackson County, Commerce City and Jefferson City schools.
This notice is in compliance with the system's comprehensive
plan for special education required by PL 94-142.
Records on students who enrolled in a special education program
at Rutland, and whose birthdays fall before January 1, 1974,
are no longer needed for educational purposes. These records
may be needed by the students or parents for Social Security
or other reasons. The system plans to destroy records on September
1, 2000, unless there has been a request for a due process hearing,
under P.L 94-142 or a complaint filed with the Office of Civil
Rights, under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
