To Whom It May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that the City of Hoschton will let a contract
to the lowest responsible, qualified, general contractor, bidder
by sealed bids submitted to the City of Hoschton, 79 City Square,
Post Office Box 61, Hoschton, Georgia 30548, no later than 2:00
p.m. July 26, 2001, for the restoration of the Historic Hoschton
Depot. Construction Documents and Project Manuals are posted
at Hoschton City Hall. Copies of such can be obtained for a non
refundable fee of $25.00. A pre-bid Conference shall be conducted
on July 12, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Hoschton Depot,
4276 Highway 53, Hoschton, Georgia. Attendance is not mandatory.
Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an
amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Proof of General
Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation Insurance will
be required with the City of Hoschton listed as an additional
insured. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified
Funds in the amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. The City of Hoschton
reserves the right to reject fully or partially any and all bids
and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award
the bid based on the highest and best interests of the City of
Hoschton.

30 days of billing; such payments are not refundable.
Payment will be made to the contractor each calendar month based

Private Enterprise Coordination
Transportation
for the Disabled
Jackson County is applying for funding assistance under Title
49 U.S.C. Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act pertaining
to rural and small urban areas.
The county will offer general public transportation to all citizens
of Jackson County for any worthwhile purpose, including but not
limited to shopping, medical treatment, social services and other
purposes.
The county solicits private sector input and participation to
assure that private for-profit transportation operators have
a fair and timely opportunity to participate in the development
of this program.
The county also solicits comments and concerns from the disabled
population and their representatives to assure that issues relating
to the disabled are addressed in the service design proposed
during the planning process.
Interested persons are invited to request that a public hearing
be held to discuss the services being offered or development
of the application.
Written comments, requests for a public hearing and/or written
notice of intent by private for-profit transportation operators
to provide or participate in any or all of the above services
should be submitted no later than fifteen (15) days from the

Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109
that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the
Location and Design of the above project.
Date of Location Approval: June 28, 2001
This project consists of the widening and reconstruction of US
129/SR 15 Alt., located in Jackson County, 11th District, GMD
1747, 242 and 245. The project begins approximately 1200 feet
north of State Route 330 and extends northerly to a point approximately
600 feet south of County Road 105 and the beginning of the proposed
Jefferson By-pass. This ending point is also approximately 1/4
mile south of the Arcade city limits. The existing roadway varies
from 2-4 lanes with rural shoulders.
The proposed construction will provide four 12-foot lanes with
a 44-foot depressed grassed median. A four-lane section with
a 32-foot depressed median will be provided for a 2-mile section
to avoid impacts to two cemeteries and historical properties.
Drawings and/or maps, and/or plats of the proposed project as
approved are on file and are available for public inspection
at the Georgia Department of Transportation.
