The Georgia Department of Community Affairs which administers
the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program will be accepting requests
for applications for Banks County beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday,
October 15, 2001, and closing after the first 49 applications
have been requested or at 5:00 p.m. on October 15, 2001, if 49
applications have not been requested. Only the first 49 telephone
calls will be granted applications. DCA will give selection preference
to applicants who live or work in Banks County.
You may obtain an application beginning on October 15, 2001,
by calling the Department of Community Affairs Office at (706)
369-5636 or toll free (888) 318-0354 and providing your name,
mailing address and social security number. Only one application
will be sent per telephone call, and no applications will be
given at the door. Hearing impaired applicants may apply for
assistance by telephoning TDD 1-800-736-1155. (Leave message.
You will be contacted the morning of the next business day.)
Visually impaired applicants needing assistance to complete the
application form should make the DCA office aware of this need
at the time the application form is requested.
Current residents of public housing units and persons on the
waiting list for public housing must make a separate application
for Section 8 assistance to be considered for the Program. Completing
the application will not affect your status on the waiting list
for other programs.
DCA does not discriminate in admission or access to its Federally

Notice of Sale Under Power
By virtue of the power contained in a Deed to Secure Debt executed
and delivered by Billy Charles Nix to Community Bank and Trust-Jackson,
dated September 1, 2000, and recorded in Deed Book 161, Page
520, Banks County, Georgia Records, and recorded securing a note
of even date, and any other present or future indebtedness, in
addition to interest accruing, there will be sold at public outcry
to the highest bidder for cash, before the Courthouse door in
Banks County, Georgia, by the undersigned, acting as Attorney-in-Fact
for the said Billy Charles Nix, as provided in said Deed to Secure
