School Board Meeting Minutes March 25, 2002 6:00 p.m. All members present except for Mr. Haggard. Ms. Belfield presiding. Mr. Cowne and several parents, students and teachers were also present. Ms. Belfield welcomed the guests and expressed condolences to Mr. Haggard on the passing of his father earlier today. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the agenda was approved 4-0. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, a budget work session was scheduled and announced for April 11, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., 4-0. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the board went into executive session, 4-0. Executive session. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the board came out of executive session, 4-0. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the board accepted Mr. Cowne’s recommendation to renew Mr. Jerry Taylor, MCHS, 4-0. A called board meeting for Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at 6:00 p.m., was announced for the expressed purpose of personnel. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the board voted to amend the agenda to allow a spokesperson to speak for 5 minutes, 4-0. Ms. Sabrina Bennett spoke of the accomplishments, dedication, support, and performance of Mr. Jerry Taylor. On a motion by Patton and a second by Power, the board voted to adjourn, 4-0. |
