The Quad Cities Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson Clubhouse, 302 Longview Drive, on the following matters:
Arcade
R-03-A05 Charlie Rakestraw to rezone property (2.58 acres) at 3936 Athens Hwy. from A-2 (county) to B-2 (city) for the purpose of a retail shop and convenience store.
R-03-A06 Jacque Marlowe to rezone property (88+ acres) on Hwy. 319/Ethridge Road and the Damon Gause Bypass (both corners) from A-2 (county) to PUD (city) for the purpose of a mixed use development including residential and commercial buildings.
Staff is recommending a text change within the City of Arcade Zoning Ordinance, Section 8.1 — Minimum Area, Yard and Height Requirements, R-1 Zoning District, to change the minimum lot area (square feet) to 32,670 with a maximum net density of one unit per acre.

Residential subdivisions within the Curry Creek Watershed Protection Overlay District must construct pedestrian walkways (paved sidewalks) of not less than 4’ wide on one side of the street.”
