Myron D. Greene
Myron Dale Greene, 29, of Jefferson, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mr. Greene was born December 19, 1973, in Jackson County, the son of Melvin Curtis and Linda Howington Greene, Jefferson.
He graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1992, and was a computer system installer.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at River of Life Worship Center, Nicholson, with the Revs. Dennis Kesler and Hulon Hill officiating. Burial was in the Nicholson City Cemetery. Chad Barnett, Jason Chastain, Kevin Crowe, Scott Greene, Corey Smith and Casey Williams served as pallbearers.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Sandy McAllister, Jefferson; two nieces, Katelyn and Alexis McAllister; and two nephews, Austin and Tyler McAllister.

Ruby P. Turner
Mrs. Ruby Patton Turner, 92, of Pinellas Park, Fla., died Tuesday, October 14, 2003, from complications of lung cancer.
Mrs. Turner was born August 27, 1911, in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Melvin and Mary E. Whitsel Patton.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and an avid gardener.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Turner, a daughter, Mary Louise Turner, four sisters, Clara Gee, Peggy Brooks, Elsie Morgan and Grace Sexton, and four brothers, Ray Patton, Buddy Patton, Billy Patton and Dewitt Patton.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 18, in Pinellas Park, Fla.
Survivors include three daughters, Patsy Green and Dottie Doyle, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jane Crawford, Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Polly M. Patton and Betty P. Davis, Pendergrass; and two brothers, Garnett Patton, Pendergrass, and Bobby J. Patton, Gainesville.

Dennis T. Daniell
Dennis Troy Daniell, 62, of Commerce, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Haralson County on September 11, 1941, Mr. Daniell was a son of the late Troy and Pauline Hannah Daniell.
He was a self-employed grading contractor and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Buchanan. Mr. Daniell was also a member of Masonic Lodge #444, becoming a Master Mason in 1979, and serving as Worshipful Master from 1986-1987.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Union Hill Methodist Church, Buchanan, with the Rev. Ronnie Coley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Bailey, Winder, and Wilma Jean “Sam” Daniell, Canton; two sons, Dennis Wayne Daniell, Ila, and Kevin Dwayne Daniell, Buchanan; four sisters, Cathy Anderson, Maysville, Dorothy Dyer, Danielsville, Sue Shipman, Hoschton, and Sybil Stephens, Carnesville; one brother, Ronnie Daniell Coley, Jefferson; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Betty J. Kinney
Mrs. Betty Jean Williams Kinney, 68, of Talmo, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Kinney was born November 28, 1934, in Hall County. She was the daughter of Grace St. John Williams, Clayton, and the late Webb Williams.
Mrs. Kinney was a homemaker and a member of Talmo Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, at Talmo Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Spence, Charles Jenkins and Paul Wade officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Cecil Blackstock, Lloyd Craven, Skeet Jennings, Danny Odell, Rogers Odell and Hansel Williams served as pallbearers.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Kinney is survived by her husband, Bill Kinney, Talmo; two daughters, Karen Rice, Cleveland, and Amy Palmer, Pendergrass; one brother, Robert Heyward Williams Sr., Jesup; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 98, Talmo, GA 30575, or to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Gladys R. Freeman
Mrs. Gladys Rebecca Freeman, 89, of Blairsville, mother of Gary Freeman, Maysville, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Freeman was born August 4, 1914, in Fannin County, a daughter of the late Narvie G. Payne and the late Laura Rector Payne.
She was a lifelong resident of Union County and worked at the Walker Department Store in Blue Ridge for several years. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Freeman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home, Blairsville, with the Rev. Tom Ford officiating. Special music was presented by Heather Henderson and Carol Renshaw. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Buddy Legg, Bill Smith, Marty Payne, Kevin Reece, Homer Powell and Jim Freeman II served as pallbearers.
Survivors, in addition to her son, include daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James Reece, Marietta; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Susan Freeman, Acworth, Sonny and Joyce Freeman, Blairsville, and Larry and Marsha Freeman, Smyrna; sister, Hazel Smith, Morganton; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.W. and Bobbie Payne, Herol and Laverne Payne and Arnold and Ruby Lee Payne, all of Blairsville; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Mountain View Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
