Robert Green
Robert Dwayne Green, 27, of Maysville, died.
He was the son of Judy Hyde Green, Winder.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Osborne Green, Maysville; a son, Robert Green and two daughters, Kathleen Green and Chelsey Green, all of the home; brother, Grady Lee Green, Jr., Winder.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 28, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Beulah Gilmore
Beulah Hencely Gilmore, 96, of Homer, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, in the Hill Haven Nursing Home.
She was born January 17, 1908, in Bibb County and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Maude Little Hencely. Mrs. Gilmore was a homemaker and a member of Homer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Rolfe H. Gilmore and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Snow.
Survivors include two daughters, Miriam Blackwell, Homer and Betty Pippin, Atlanta; a sister, Frances Garrison, Atlanta; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 24, in the Homer Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert A. Hill officiating. Burial was in the Hill Family Cemetery, Homer.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Mathis
Ronald James Mathis, 58, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Born in Camden, N.J. December 24, 1945, he was the son of the late Bayard and Veronica Poole Mathis. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Mathis was owner and operator of Nature’s Wonders, Inc. for the last four years and was a member of the Baldwin Church of God
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Bishop Mathis, Cleveland; daughters, Megan Mathis, Jacksonville, Fla., and Sara Veronica Mathis and Elizabeth Mathis, both of Cleveland; sons, Michael Mathis, Justin Mathis, Jason Mathis and Matthew Mathis, all of Cleveland; brothers, Bud Mathis, Calif., and Jim Pascucci, Boulder, Colo.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 24, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with the Rev. Mike Franklin officiating. Burial was in Baldwin City Cemetery.

James Robertson
James Bartow Robertson, 64, of Commerce, died Friday, December 24, 2004 at his residence.
Born July 30, 1940, in DeKalb County, he was the son of the late Owens and Camalee Robertson. He was retired from Vend. Inc. as a salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Mae Lowry Robertson, Commerce; sons, Randy Buice, Tony Buice and Joey Buice, all of Commerce, Gary Buice, Lula; daughters, Barbara Britt and Amy Nelson, both of Maysville and Becky Brown, Union, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 27, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. John Mullinax, Lloyd Hoffer, and Gary Baker officiating. Burial was in the Nicholson Cemetery, Nicholson.

Cora Belle Freeman
Cora Belle Brock Ward Freeman, 95, of Baldwin, died Monday, December 20, 2004, at a local nursing facility following an extended illness.
She was born in Hall County April 3, 1909, the daughter of the late Henry H. and Alice Hulsey Brock. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Minyard Ward of Banks County who was the father of her children, by her second husband, B.E. Freeman, and by two brothers and three sisters.
She was the mother of five children, local survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Laurell Ward, Homer; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Cranley and Joy Ward, Baldwin; great-grandson, Thomas L. Ward, Baldwin; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 22, in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland. Burial was in the Gateway Memorial Park Cemetery, Cleveland.

‘Bill’ Knight
Wilson “Bill” Knight, 86, of Jefferson, a World War II D-Day veteran, died Monday, December 27, 2004 following a brief illness.
He was born August 26, 1918, in White County, son of the late Johnston and Alice Sosebee Knight.
He served in the 29th Infantry Division of the United States Army on Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasion of Normandy.
Mr. Knight was retired from the United States Postal Service, was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Masons, Jefferson Lions Club, the McDonald’s “Coffee Club”, and of Bethany United Methodist Church, Jefferson.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Geneva Thompson Knight, Jefferson; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra (Knight) and Henry Fite, Jefferson; two sisters, Marga-ret Bentley, Jenkinsburg, and Helen Nix, Gainesville; two grandchildren, Kelby Fite, Charlotte, N.C., and Chantel Fite Tolbert, Jefferson; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, December 29, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Johnny Ray, Hulon Hill, and Henry Webb officiating. Nephews served as pallbearers. Burial was at Evans Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, Ga. 30605.

Emma Carter
Emma Creasman Carter, 93, of Cornelia, died Monday, December 27, 2004, at a private care facility.
Born on October 7, 1911, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Caudell Creasman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Bob” Carter.
She is the last member of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Burial will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29.
