Kate B. Jordan
Mrs. Kate B. Jordan, 84, of Maysville, died Saturday, December
11, 1999, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mrs. Jordan was born October 6, 1915, in Commerce. She was a
daughter of the late Newt and Jeannie Glenn Brown.
Mrs. Jordan was a housewife and was of the Baptist denomination.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 14, in the chapel
of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with her son, the Rev. Grady
Jordan, Carnesville, officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial
Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to her son, include her husband, Marvin
Jordan; son, Donald Jordan, Hartwell; four grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
Ivie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hal T. Ginn
Hal Thomas Ginn, 55, of Commerce, died Friday, December 10, 1999,
at his residence.
Mr. Ginn was born March 10, 1944, in Carnesville. He was a son
of the late Joe and Velda Whitsel Ginn.
Mr. Ginn was self-employed as a carpenter.
Graveside services were held Sunday, December 12, in Howington
Cemetery, Nicholson, with the Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Ginn; one son, Tommy Ginn,
Commerce; two daughters, Tina Ginn, Carnesville, and Melissa
Perry, Commerce; two step-daughters, Wanda Mendoza, Talmo, and
Brenda Marban, Nicholson; two brothers, Bobby Ginn and Larry
Ginn, both of Commerce; and two sisters, Betty Calloway, Comer,
and Mary Ann Goldman, Ninety Six, S.C.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Stewart W. Jump
Stewart Wallace Jump, 78, of Stephens, died Thursday, December
9, 1999, at his residence.
Mr. Jump was born April 15, 1921, in Hall County.
He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist denomination.
Mr. Jump was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Borders Jump.
Graveside services were held Saturday, December 11, at Jackson
Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Dylan Reeves
Dylan "Cage" Reeves, 10 months, of Maysville, died
Friday, December 10, 1999, at Scottish Rite Hospital following
injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Reeves was born in Hall County, the son of Steven and Lori Reeves,
Maysville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather,
Johnny Welch, maternal great-grandfathers, Lewis Jones and Charles
Welch, and paternal great-grandfather, Cotton Reeves.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 13, in the chapel
of Little-Davenport Funeral Home, Gainesville, with the Revs.
Donnie Hicks, Eugene Hicks, Leon Thompson and Harold Gaines officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include maternal grandmother,
Tammy Welch, Murrayville; paternal grandmother, Margaret Reeves,
Gainesville; paternal grandfather, Edward Reeves, Gainesville;
maternal great-grandmothers, Clara Welch and Minnie Thomas, both
of Gainesville; paternal great-grandmother, Maude Reeves, Gainesville;
and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Claudine S. Chandler
Mrs. Claudine S. Chandler, 87, of Maysville, died Thursday, December
9, 1999, at Columbia Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville.
Mrs. Chandler was born July 4, 1912, in Commerce. She was a daughter
of the late Jasper Newton and Alice Hutchins Stewart.
Mrs. Chandler was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her
husband, John Hoyt Chandler.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 11, at Maysville
Baptist Church with her son, the Rev. Ben Chandler, Scottsboro,
Ala., and the Revs. Brian Stowe, Marshal Dale and William Crowe
officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to her son, include sons, Pittman Chandler,
Hartwell, and William Chandler, Maysville; two daughters, Retha
Kemp, Oakwood, and Linda Stepp, Maysville; one sister, Zaddie
Sutton, Gastonia, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of one's
choice.
