Our History...

A HISTORY OF THE JACKSON HERALD & MAINSTREET NEWSPAPERS

Our firm is the oldest, continually operated business in Jackson County. It was established in 1875 and now consists of five separate newspapers, The Jackson Herald (Jefferson, Ga.), The Commerce News (Commerce, Ga.), The Banks County News (Homer, Ga.), The Braselton News (Braselton, Ga.) and The Madison County Journal (Danielsville, Ga.). These publications have a state and national reputation for excellence and have been recognized with numerous state and national awards over the past 30 years.

We also house a complete sheet-fed and web printing facility where, in addition to printing our own newspapers, we print other newspapers and job printing.
