Local woman reports kidnapping

A woman on Macedonia Church Road reported Feb. 12 that a man had taken her against her will the previous afternoon and driven to various locations in the Royston-Hartwell area and then into South Carolina.



After the abduction, the woman said that the suspect had “touched her numerous times in her inner thigh area as they were riding down the road.”

In another incident, a woman was reportedly struck by a man who lives with her after she would not allow him to sell her truck. While in the truck, the offender reportedly hit her in the face with a closed fist, later pushing her down on the bed inside the home and striking her face again. Warrants will be issued for the man.
