The Madison County boys’ track team registered 16 first-place finishes to win a three-team meet Tuesday in Danielsville.
The Red Raiders finished with 162 points, ahead of Washington-Wilkes (61 points) and Taliaferro County (53 points).
Finishing first were Kendrick Butler (triple jump, 300 meter hurdles), Jamal Cooper (long jump, 100 meters, 200 meters), Matt Dove (discus, shot put), T.J. Allen (pole vault), Codey Brakhage (400 meters), Corey Brakhage (1,600 meters, 800 meters), Donovan Carey (110 meter hurdles), McGuire (300 meter hurdles) and Dalton Owensby (3,200 meters).
Madison County also took first-place finishes in the 4 x 100 meter relay (Lashawne Willingham, Cooper, Butler and McGuire) and the 4 x 400 meter relay (Butler, Cooper, Brakhage and McGuire).
The Madison County girls also won their meet with 80 points, beating Taliaferro (63 points) and Washington Wilkes (53 points).
