The Braselton Planning Commission will hear two requests when it meets on Monday, March 22, at 7 p.m.
First, Century Center at Braselton, LLC is asking the town to annex and rezone 11 acres on Ga. Hwy. 211 in Barrow County from General Commercial (GC) to Office and Institutional (O-I).
The property is located behind an existing bank and commercial building for the development, along Beaver Dam Road.
Second, Covenant Faith World Outreach Church wants to use an existing building at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 124 and Josh Pirkle Road in Jackson County for a church or place of worship. The request would require approval of a conditional use permit.
The building is owned by Stephen P. Garner and has been used as a plumbing business.
The Braselton Town Council will hold a public hearing on the planning commission’s recommendation on Thursday, April 8, at 4 p.m.
Both groups meet at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, located at 5040 Ga. Hwy. 53 in Braselton.
