Things may be turning around for the Commerce Tigers, as the team celebrates its first baseball win of the 2010 season over Prince Avenue.
The Tigers run-ruled the Wolverines 13-2 on Saturday to pick up the season’s first win as well as a region victory.
Commerce had a 1-6 record as the team prepared to take on Athens Academy on Tuesday.
Results from that region game were unavailable at press time.
The diamond Tigers will travel to Gainesville to face Lakeview on Friday at 4:30 p.m. then continues the show on the road Saturday in McDonough with a double header against Eagles Landing Christian.
The first game gets started at 2:00 p.m.
The Tigers return home to host Towns County on March 23 in a 5:30 p.m. match-up with the Indians.
