Chairman Nash to pay $200 ethics fine

An ethics complaint filed by Commissioner John Pethel against Commission Chairman Wesley Nash has resulted in a $200 fine for Nash. Pethel maintained that Nash illegally used county equipment for political purposes in 2004, while Nash said he used a county computer for a few dollars worth of printing. Two Commerce men were arrested on drug charges last week during a traffic check on Neese Commerce Road. A Colbert man was arrested last week on family violence charges following an incident at his home. James Edward Brock, Jr., 40, 459 Jack Sharp Road, was charged with one county of battery FVA.
