Shots fired in bar fight, two arrested

An argument between several men at a Braselton bar resulted in a suspect firing shots at one of the men, police said. A Gainesville man told police that while outside Jefferies Sports Bar on Grand Hickory Drive, he noticed three men with a highly intoxicated woman. Smoldering mulch pile annoys nearby residents

A mulch pile at a construction site in Hoschton has continued to smolder, according to the West Jackson Fire Department. The mulch pile, located in the 4500 block of Ga. Abandoned dogs kill rooster, four rabbits

A Braselton woman said four stray dogs killed her rooster and at least four of her rabbits, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The rooster was valued at $10 and the rabbits at $5 each. A deputy later found the dogs. Two men told the deputy the dogs belonged to a previous resident on Ednaville Road, but the dogs were abandoned ... [Full Story »]
