A Wednesday morning fire gutted the home of Robert and Lisa Kent of 231 Minish Cemetery Road in Madison County. Officials said the blaze was likely started by a clothes dryer. Madison County SAT scores rise by 57 points

Madison County High School students scored an average of 1,482 on the SAT this year, up 57 points from 2007.
