The City of Commerce contributed the most scarecrows among Jackson County municipalities to help Hoschton’s world record effort. The Jackson County Planning Commission will hold a workshop on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m., to discuss the Ga. Hwy. 124 and Ga. Hwy. 53 corridor overlay district. An armed robber took an unknown amount of cash from a South Hall bank on Thursday morning.
