BOE leaves millage rate unchanged

The Barrow County Board of Education voted unanimously to leave the school tax rate at 18.50 mills for the upcoming year. The rate will result in property taxes of $1,850 for every $100,000 of assessed value. The county will set its millage rate at the September 23 meeting of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners.
