Burglars broke into two homes on Hunter Road in South Jackson last week and took televisions, sporting equipment and other items. At the first home, a television, computer, CDs, DVDs, groceries and other items were taken. In the other break-in, golf clubs, rods and reels, weed eater and other items were taken.

With two town hall meetings slated for the coming week, the head of Hoschton’s finance committee is calling for the town to impose a property tax to fund city expenses.
