The Statham Police Department investigated nine incidents last week and made four arrests, according to Public Information Officer Kristin Graves. BOC to vote on Rockwell Church Rd. development

The Barrow County Board of Commissioners will decide Tuesday if a 144 acre development planned for Rockwell Church Road can proceed. The planning commission voted to deny the request at its September 17 meeting. Police were called to a Cabot’s Ridge address after a man saw a videotape in which his wife seemingly confessed to an affair. The man told police he had just learned that his wife videotaped herself while she was out with some friends. In the video, the wife allegedly made reference to sleeping with another man. County sees slight increase in rezones and variances

By Kristi Reed Despite the struggling economy, the Barrow County Planning Department has experienced marginal growth in rezone and variance cases so far this year. A Statham man was arrested Sunday on charges stemming from a domestic dispute. Willie James McNair, 44, was charged with simple battery, kidnapping, interference with a 911 call, terroristic threats and acts and false imprisonment.
