Saxby Chambliss’ statewide bus tour will make a stop at the Winder Community Center on Tuesday, October 28. The U.S. Senate incumbent candidate will meet with supporters from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the conference room of the community center. Two men and a woman involved in an alleged love triangle were arrested by Winder police last week after creating a disturbance at the McDonald’s on North Broad Street. Winder Police search for pair of suspects in armed robbery

The Winder Police Department is asking for help identifying two suspects in a Tuesday afternoon pawn shop robbery. The two black males entered the Pawn Mart located at 22 South Broad Street at approximately 3:10 p.m., drew handguns on the three employees working in the store and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry and cash. Early voting total passes 3500

Over 3,500 Barrow County citizens have taken advantage of early voting so far. Barrow County election supervisor Kristi Royston said, as of Tuesday, over ten percent of the county’s registered voters had cast their ballot for the November election.
