The Jefferson Dragons remain unbeaten after a big win Friday night over Riverside Military Academy, as the Dragons decimated the Eagles 47-20. The win puts Jefferson alone at the top of 8-AA standings and puts them in the catbird seat as they enter an off week this week. A 65-year-old Virginia man was fatally injured in a high-speed racing accident Saturday at the Atlanta Dragway during an NHRA Southeast Division event. The Jefferson Lady Dragons softball team began region tournament play this week, after wrapping up their regular season last week with a loss to the East Jackson Lady Eagles and to Vidalia. Jackson County Comprehensive High School has suspended four players from all football team activities for two games.
