Roger Gaither doesn't know what caused the fire that destroyed the 1994 Toyota Corolla he bought for his 16-year-old daughter. Raider head coach Doug Kesler took his seniors aside recently and reminded them that the accomplishments board at the Raiders’ softball field has been left blank the last two seasons. Jazmond Taylor ran a 19:18 in a Sept. 20 meet at East Jackson High School to lead the way for Madison County. Taylor finished 25th out of a field of 121. Man falls from Braselton rooftop

A man who fell from a rooftop in Braselton was taken by helicopter to an Atlanta hospital on Wednesday evening. A neighbor on Zion Church Road walked next door to an EMS station, where emergency personnel were told a man fell 15 feet from a roof. The man landed on concrete.
