A flu shot clinic will be held at Banks County Middle School on Friday, Oct. 10. A time for the clinic has not been announced. The North Health District says it is unknown when flu shots will be available after Oct. 10 in Banks County. BCSO deputies respond to truck break-ins

Two Banks County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to the parking lot of the T/A Truck Stop Sunday afternoon to investigate the report of two people entering trucks in the parking lot. County plans 4-day week at transfer station

County leaders plan to move the Madison County Transfer Station to a four-day week in 2009, an action they say will help keep costs down. A former Madison County deputy has been charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor. Jeffery Dale Roberts, 37, 60 East Ninth Street, Colbert, was fired from his job after the sheriff’s department learned of the man’s alleged inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl. The Lady Hawks picked up two area wins Tuesday night with victories over Meadowcreek and Peachtree Ridge.
