IRWINTON--The Wilkinson County Warriors proved to be as fast as advertised -- and then some. Small but speedy tailback Immanual Shinholster ripped off touchdown runs of 60 and 75 yards as the Warriors bumped the Commerce Tigers from the first round of the playoffs with a 21-7 win. The Jackson County Panthers girls’ cross country team placed 17th in AAA classification in state competition in Carrollton over the weekend.
