Elkins elected mayor of Hull

Paul Elkins is Hull’s new mayor. Elkins defeated Toney Ganey, 27-21, in the race for the city’s top spot at the council table.   There are 144 registered voters in Hull. Elkins said the turnout is the highest the city has seen in a municipal election.  

Merk holds on to Danielsville council seat

Janice Merk held on to her seat at the Danielsville City Council Monday, defeating Stanley Watson, 44-35, in the Seat 4 election. Junne Temple, whose Seat 3 post was not contested, received 61 votes.
