Madison County’s Animal Control Board voted 3-2 last month to return temporary custody of a male pit bull dog to his owner, a man who was the first person in the state arrested under Georgia’s new felony dogfighting law, which took effect July 1, 2008. It was another solid result for the Jackson County Mat Panthers, as they placed sixth in the South Forsyth Santa Slam over the weekend.
