Following a 53-30 loss to North Hall at Phillips Arena last week, the East Jackson Lady Eagles hoped to rebound in the DQ Classic this week in Hart County. Pick up stolen on Wilson-Williams Road

A man on Wilson-Williams Road reported that his 1993 Chevrolet pick up truck had been stolen from his yard on Christmas Eve. The truck, valued at $3,000, was recovered on Dec. 26. Freedom Bank enters cease and desist order

Freedom Bank of Georgia based in Commerce has entered into a “cease and desist order” with state and federal regulators to overhaul the bank’s operations.
