City of Auburn ends year in the black

The City of Auburn finished FY08 in the black according to preliminary numbers by the city’s internal accounts. A Braselton officer said he chased a vehicle that ignored the commands of two officers to stop at an accident site. Police said officers were directing traffic at the intersection of Ga. A new post office annex to serve Braselton and Hoschton is under construction — but that doesn’t mean the cities’ post offices will close. The Madison County school board listened to requests Monday not to levy a school bond tax, but voted to do so unanimously in a called meeting to set the millage rate.
