A Hoschton woman said she was in her backyard when she heard 7-10 shots fired, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The woman, who lives on Sweet Water Ridge, said the last shot passed by her. The woman said she yelled at someone to stop firing the shots. BOC approves $219,668 for engineering project

In a unanimous vote at Monday’s Jackson County Board of Commission meeting, approval was given to spend $219,668 to get orthophotography and contour elevations of the county.
