City proposes small residential electric rate hike

The Commerce City Council expects to approve a new schedule of electric rates Monday night. The council meets at 6:30 in the Commerce Room of the Commerce Civic Center. The Commerce Police Department arrested two men during the past week in connection with the Jan. 21 theft of $300 worth of lottery tickets from Ray’s Corner Station, Washington Street. A home belonging to Howard Goss on Fred Goss Road was completely destroyed by fire Sunday night. According to E-911 director David Camp, a neighbor called 911 after spotting flames across the road from her house.
