Burglar reported at Nicholson home

Two men were watching television when a burglar walked into the living room. The burglar, who ran from the home when the men yelled at him, took a laptop computer from the bedroom. Jan. unemployment at 9.5% for county

Jackson County’s unemployment rate shot up in January to 9.5%, up from 8.1% in December. The rate is significantly up from one year ago when it stood at 5.2% in January 2008. Jefferson couple killed Friday in Banks County wreck

A well-known Jefferson couple was killed in a Banks county wreck Friday on Hwy. 63 at Hwy. 51. Killed were Tony and Ann Ianuario, Jefferson. Navas resigns as Jefferson head football coach

BOC considers funds for chamber, furniture for jail
