Athens man faces drug charges

An Athens man was arrested last week following the violation of a temporary protection order (TPO). Ronnie Gene Scogin, 39, of 109 Fox Trail, was charged with one count each of violation of a family violence order and possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA. Schools will be closed in Banks County Monday following a snow storm that blanketed North Georgia Sunday. Heavy snow was reported all day and power was out in areas of the county.
Several wrecks were reported due to icy roads and trees falling.
