The baseball Tigers have fallen into a pattern of win one, lose one. The diamond Tigers are 6-4 overall and are currently undefeated in the region, holding at 3-0 as the team went into Tuesday’s game against Towns County. Dragon netters remain undefeated

By Brandon Reed The Jefferson Dragons tennis teams continued their undefeated march last week, as both boys and girls teams defeated region opponent East Jackson. Both teams took 5-0 sweeps over the Eagle netters. On Tuesday, the boys played host to Riverside Military Academy, winning 4-1. The Dragons are now 8-0 overall, 4-0 in region play. ... Boys’ track defeats East Hall

The Banks County track and field Leopards took on East Hall last week in a dual meet. The Leopards brought home the win four points over East Hall while the Lady Leopards had several to place in the competition. The Banks County golfers have an opportunity this weekend to gain a lot of experience. The Leopard golfers are scheduled to compete in the Madison County Invitational on Saturday at Double Oaks in Commerce. The track Tigers of Commerce Middle School continued their season with impressive performances at the Junior Eagle Invitational last Saturday at East Jackson Comprehensive High School. Lula looking at stimulus money to fund new wastewater treatment plant

The Lula City Council unanimously approved a motion at a called meeting on Tuesday to proceed with applying for a Georgia Environmental Facilities Association (GEFA) stimulus package totaling $3.5 million to fund the city’s new wastewater treatment plant.
