Rain delays hinder tennis region tournament decision

Wet weather has prevented the BCHS tennis teams from playing the deciding match against East Jackson. Man injured Wednesday in Winder fire

A man was injured April 1 while trying to extinguish a fire in an outbuilding in the 300 block of East Wright Street. Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services firefighters brought the fire under control while the department’s paramedics treated the man. Allen Fans 16 As Tigers Blank Towns County

Carl Allen carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and fanned 16 as the Commerce Tigers shut out Towns County 3-0 March 24. Allen recorded all but five outs from the mound and held the Indians hitless until the leadoff batter in the seventh smacked a single to center.
