Nocera files airplane tax returns

The chairman of the Barrow County Airport Authority filed two years of tax returns late Tuesday for a couple of airplanes he has kept at Northeast Georgia Regional Airport without paying taxes on them. A Bethlehem couple that held an underage drinking party for local high school students last Friday night is facing a host of criminal charges after one of the partygoers ended up in a hospital intensive care unit with alcohol poisoning. The one-two combination of Seth Maddox and Hunter Coleman helped the Apalachee High School baseball team earn its third Region 8-AAAA victory of 2009 Monday. A Hoschton woman who ordered exercise equipment after seeing a television advertisement was the victim of fraud. The woman said she sent in a money order for $149 for a body shaper ball and received a Chinese tea bag. She said she called the company and, at first, they said it was a mistake.
