Braselton’s proposed FYE 2010 budget will be the first in recent years to dip below the previous year’s budget. The town is proposing a general fund budget of $2.6 million — which is a 14 percent drop from the FYE 2009 budget of $2.9 million. A woman who apparently did a poor job lying about her name and age was arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy said he stopped a vehicle on Ga. A Braselton police officer found a black Ford Ranger pickup truck abandoned along the Mulberry River, near Ga. Hwy. 124, according to an incident report.
