Lady Golfers Place Sixth At State Tournament Monday

The Lady Tiger golfers finished just four strokes shy of fifth place at the state tournament Monday. Commerce took sixth place with a score of 208. Shooting a career best 99, CJ Wilkes was the team medalist followed by Chelsey Cain (109). For more on this story, see this week's The Commerce News.

MCHS finishes fourth at region Jamal Cooper won the region 200 meters Friday in a banner 8-AAAA meet for the Madison County junior. Cooper ran a 22.02 in the finals, winning the event by .17 of a second.
