MCHS girls’ golf team finishes 12th at state

The Madison County girls’ golf team closed the season just short of a top- 10 finish. The Lady Raiders shot a 207 Monday at the Class AAAA girls’ state golf tournament at Dalton Golf and Country Club to finish 12th. Six Lady Tigers will represent Commerce High School in Albany May 14-16 at the girls’ state track meet. Commerce qualified in three events, the shot put, 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay. EJCHS basketball camp coming up in June

The Future Eagles basketball camp will be held beginning Monday, June 1, and will run through Thursday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $100 and $75 for each additional sibling. Banks County will have three Lady Leopards competing in the girls’ state track meet May 14-16 at Hughes Mills Stadium in Albany. The Jackson County Panthers wrapped up their baseball season on Thursday on a high note, recording a win against Meadowcreek.
