BOC dumps comprehensive plan consultant

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners has terminated its contract with consultant David Sutton and decided to hire another consultant to update the comprehensive plan. A White County man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the December 2008 murder of a Pendergrass youth minister. William Joseph Dyer, 22, was reportedly sentenced last week in Cleveland. BOC approves computer upgrades
