A visibly impaired drunk driver told a deputy he was driving to a store in West Jackson to get more beer, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. High-speed police chase ends in Winder

A high-speed chase started in Braselton and ended in Winder, after the suspect briefly tried to run on foot from an officer. A Braselton officer said he noticed a motorcycle driving about 80 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone on Ga. Hwy. 211.
