The Georgia Warriors, a 10-and-under travel ball team which includes Madison County players, knocked off undefeated and nationally-ranked Midway at the “Battle of the Bats” in Winder. May signs with Savannah State

Madison County pitcher Jack May signed a Division I baseball scholarship with Savannah State recently. May went 7-1 this past spring, helping lead the Raiders to a second-place finish in the region and a trip to the state playoffs. May finished with a 2.07 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 64.3 innings pitched.

It was a family affair Saturday night at Lanier National Speedway as Greg Simpson held off his brother Shawn to take the win in the Pro-Late Model feature event.
