Banks receives stimulus money for road project

Banks County has received federal stimulus funds for a road improvement project. Banks County will receive $759,446 to resurface five miles of State Route 164 from State Route 51 to State Route 59. Gwinnett deputy killed Monday in Barrow wreck

A Gwinnett County sheriff’s deputy was killed in a wreck Monday afternoon as he traveled to his Barrow County home on a motorcycle. The Georgia State Patrol identified the deputy as 56-year-old Bill Edge.
